PACKET RADIO: Gateways

board. It's formatted to fit a 80 character screen.)

Gateways are cross band digipeaters. Digipeaters are
explained in the file another file.

To use the digipeater you must know its callsign. Here
on the NCARC PBBS, the gateway between 145.09 and 223.7
is called NCARCX. If I wanted to connect from 145.09 to
223.7 utilizing a gateway, I would issue a "C callsign via
NCARCX" command.

In many, if not most circumstances, you are better off
using the K Node, NCARC-1. See the file "PKTKNODE.HLP"
for information on this feature.
