This was a week-long flight so that I could attend Landon's second birthday. As I planned to be down in November, I had not really signed up for a late-September trip.  Attending is Matt, Lesa, Liam, Landon. Lucas and Mary.

Unfortunately, the dogs stayed home in the care of Family Pet Sitters.  Reports, camera views and their own good spirits made it appear that they were having a fine time at home alone. They were getting three walks a day!

It was rumored that Lucas is no longer a potato.  He isn’t. Lucas has developed a personality.  How cool is that. I have never seen such a happy child. If he cried, and that was almost never, it was because he was hungry. Feed that and it stopped. And he smiled. And laughed. And chortled away gleefully. He is army crawling but working hard on being up on all fours.

When last I saw Landon, he was speaking only a few words and those were often disjointed from his meaning.  That has changed!  The boy lets you know what is what.  Who is who.  While his two-year-old brain hasn’t adjusted to person hood, he quite involves himself in everything and everyone.

Matt and Lesa are doing an excellent job managing all three. One “terrible two” and another who soon will be. Soon, we will count a mid-teen in there with them.

Another biggie was my first stay at my home on Galveston Island. Lesa has done a wonderful job and the home is virtually complete. All that is left is some trivial electronics like cameras, BirdNetPi and my work spaces. I had my first dip in the hot tub, along with everyone else.

We attended one of Liam’s games. We were unsure if he was going to play because of an earlier head bump, but he played. Liam is wonderful with both of his brothers.

At home we had many trips to the playgrounds, a quite entertaining go watching Landon on the Slip-N-Slide, a trip to a toddler play place, FAR TOO MUCH to eat and a wee bit of bourbon.

The flight home was uneventful.  A great trip.
