It is time for the old Winnie to move on and make another family
happy! She still has a lot of life left in her.
Here is Matt and Lesa getting ready to leave North Olmsted and
take the Winnie to Texas.
Toodles rode with Matt and Lesa.
I followed them to the Cincinnati area. We stopped at East
Fork State Park and spent two nights there. We had a
FANTASTIC time. We walked and walked and walked. We
had nice fires. We ate well (thank you Lesa).
Our
first walk was supposed to be maybe 500 feet. Matt was
wearing flip-flops and I was barefoot in my moccasins. At
least Lesa wore shoes. We went six (6) miles. That
was STUPID! Both Matt and I affected our feet.
Luckily not so bad for the rest of our walks.
The reason this picture is blurry is that we were walking in
near dark conditions. This is not even close to how much
light we were seeing. In the woods in the dark .. walking.
They had horses camping here, lots of horses.
We
did have a driver's side rear brake problem when one of the
calipers hung up just after arriving at the park. The GPS
took us down some tiny country roads. That necessitated a
lot of brake action. After lifting, lubing and freeing up
the caliper we drove the whole park campground. Wait.
We missed a couple!
Never mind that bottle of Jack Daniels Honey and the wine on the
table. Don't look at that.
We took a couple of walks down a paved bicycle/all purpose trail
to the lake. Lot of birds! We saw an older man
sitting on a stool he had brought with a VERY old beagle.
Later, we found he was running four other beagles. They
came up and said hello, but not for long as the bunnies were
calling them.
Find the heron in this photo:
Can't
see it??? It's there! Click on the image above to

Here's
a pic of Matt and I messing with the new camera.
