October 8, 2009

After five straight days of rain, of never seeing the sun, the weather has improved dramatically.  The forecast is for mid-70s during the day and upper 40s at night.  The park is packed but quite quiet.  It is a perfect October weekend.  We went to Ralphies for dinner composed of a great turkey ruben.  That was followed by a long walk and some time setting up a friend's new computer.

October 9, 2010

Another fantastic day with temperatures in the mid-70s and with the sun shining.  We took long walks, watched movies, napped, had a fire, drank wine, cooked hot dogs and did so many other things that make camping fun.

One odd thing is the lack of deer.  In 2009 I camped here about a month later and the deer were very active.  Now, in October, the deer are rarely seen.  Odd!

The picture at the right was taken early in the morning.  We took more walks and enjoyed yet another beautiful day.

The weekend couldn't have been better!

Site 158 is great.  It is about as close as you can get to a cut-through to the walking paths while still being next to water.  Recommended!
