Log of our fourth trip of 2007

San Diego Marathon

San Diego, California

June 1 to 4, 2007

This was an airplane trip

Attended:  Dad 21, Mom 22

This is an airplane trip in which we flew to San Diego so that Mary could participate in the San Diego Marathon.  Mary joined a group called "Team in Training" that works to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Participants join a team and train for a marathon.  They also earn a pre-set amount that allows them then a free trip, motel and marathon.  Where and when the marathon is located determines the amount of money one needs to earn.  Mary earned her money and ran her marathon.

There were 17,864 runners.  Team in Training had 4000 runners.  TNT had a pasta party where they had two sittings.  At this pasta party they served 2,000 (yes, two THOUSAND) people at one time in one room.  We were served as fast or faster than a restaurant would have.  It was so very efficient.
