Fixing a JR Products Concealed Positive Catch Latch

Boiiiiiiiinnnnnnngggggg!  Did you find the spring?  Here is a view of my broken JR Products latch.  They are cheap enough to replace but why wait for another failure?  Let's fix it right.

The housing is drilled with a 1/16 drill.  The latch is chewed out with a grinding bit.

You then use a piece of stainless steel safety wire ... or whatever you have though stainless won't rust ... and catch the latch with the new wire.

WORKS GREAT!  Next time I mix epoxy I'm going to put a dab on the ends of the wires.
